Contains the varieties Di Nizza, Black Beauty, Greyzini and Gold Rush. Easy to grow, they only require fertile soil and regular watering.
To conserve moisture, cover the base of the plants with plant matter and water frequently.
Sowing: Plant 4-5 seeds in small pits (3 cm deep) spaced 80 x 100 cm in a seedbed in early April, or in the ground in early May.
Thinning: When 3-4 leaves appear, thin keeping the strongest plant in each pit.
Harvest: June to August. For best preservation collect them together with the stem.
Pumpkin likes the proximity of radish as it repels insects and aphids.
